Chop the tree
With its brothers axe
Which came first?
The handle or the tree?
Isn’t it ironic
We use it’s own flesh
To bite into itself?

I’ve never thought of it that way. Great piece!

Nice. Check out Axe Handles by Gary Snyder, the poem in the book by the same name. When shaping a new axe handle while holding a hatchet, the model is close at hand.
