One Brave Waiter

I motion the waiter

He leaps through hurdles of chairs

He wrestles through crowds of bodies

The blinding lights of the bar

Obstacles that would turn back

Even the bravest waiter

He reaches me, leaning closer to me

To hear what I have to say…

“It needs more salt.”
