Cyrus

A man

Sits on a ledge

Suspended in time and space

Looking down at the distortion

At the lack of feeling

The lack of emotion

All his years he waited for this

The disconnecting point

The portal had shut

And he was alone..

Far from the humans

Ironically his heart welled up

And the tears stood still

In his eyes

They did not release

He could not fall from that ledge

But the beast

Circled him

Whispering in his ear

I would say till the end of time

But there was none

Taunting him in his blind spots

Cyrus could not move

But the beast could

      1. I much prefer that as well, I think that when we cater for adults we try and sound mature, try and sound like we’re all sensible and grown up. But all those inhibitions fly away once kids are involved! I try and keep that way of thinking when I write.. Just with free imagination
