Invisible Voice

I realise what’s wrong with me

I sing

But I have no voice

I beg and plead with those around me

For my words to reach them

But they fall on deaf and dumb ears

As if I’m not really there

Maybe they’re not there

But I need them

Why do I need them

To remind me I exist

I am invisible

Until I’m needed
